Job Description

Penetration Tester / Application Security Tester

Experience:

Direct Responsibilities

Perform
Penetration Testing
(Gray Box / Black Box) for
Web Applications, Thick Client, APIs, and Mobile Applications
.
Apply deep knowledge of
Application Security Engineering
, including secure development practices, secure build processes, secure code review, and security testing.
Work with
DevOps security tools
, including scanning, SAST/DAST, and CI/CD security processes.
Use scripting languages for
automation and custom security checks
.
Collaborate closely with developers to help them understand and remediate reported vulnerabilities.

Contributing Responsibilities

Understand application security requirements and define the
scope of assessments
.
Ensure complete execution of documented
security test scenarios
.
Document and report findings clearly and professionally.
Escalate blockers or critical issues to local management and onshore teams when necessary.
Ensure adherence to project processes and security assessment standards.
Review peers’ work and
mentor junior team members
as needed.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Strong understanding of
OWASP Top 10
and common application security risks.
Hands-on experience with the following tools and OS:

Burp Suite
,
OWASP ZAP
,
Kali Linux

Strong in
manual security testing
, manual analysis, and designing test scenarios.
Excellent
interpersonal, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
.
Good analytical thinking with strong
time management
and task ownership.
Must be
flexible, independent, self-motivated
, and a strong
team player
.

Preferred Qualifications

CSSLP
,
CEH
,
ECSA
, or equivalent security certification (preferred but not mandatory).
