Pediatric intensivist

Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified Pediatric Intensivist to provide high-quality critical care in our PICU, supporting a hospital primarily focused on Mother & Child Care (Pediatrics, NICU, PICU, Obstetrics), with collaboration across emergency and surgical services.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage critically ill pediatric patients in PICU (ventilation, inotropes, sepsis, shock, respiratory failure).
• Lead PICU rounds, coordinate with pediatrics, anesthesia, surgery, radiology, and laboratory teams.
• Provide timely support to Pediatric Emergency and supervise stabilization and transfers.
• Participate in protocol development, infection control, and antibiotic stewardship.
• Ensure accurate documentation, handovers, and family counseling.
• Contribute to quality improvement, audits, and NABH compliance.
• Support teaching and academic activities (DNB/Residents), if applicable.
• Participate in on-call duties as per roster.

Qualifications & Experience

• MD Pediatrics / DNB Pediatrics with Fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care (IDPCC / FNB / equivalent).
• 2–5 years experience in a PICU setting (post-fellowship preferred).
• Hands-on experience with invasive/non-invasive ventilation and emergency procedures.
• Experience in NABH-accredited hospitals preferred.
