Position Overview The Deputy Medical Superintendent will assist the Medical Superintendent in managing day-to-day clinical operations, maintaining NABH standards, ensuring smooth coordination between departments, enhancing patient safety, and driving performance improvement across the hospital. This is a key leadership role requiring strong administrative acumen, clinical background, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities 1. Hospital Operations & Administration Oversee daily functioning of clinical and support departments. Ensure availability and optimal utilisation of hospital beds, emergency care, NICU, labour room, OT, and OPD services. Coordinate duty rosters for doctors, RMOs, interns, and paramedical staff. Manage patient flow and help resolve operational bottlenecks. 2. Quality & NABH Compliance Maintain and upgrade all NABH accreditation standards (Entry Level / Full). Conduct audits, gap assessments, and quality improvement initiatives. Ensure adherence to hospital policies, SOPs, and clinical protocols. Monitor infection control practices in collaboration with ICN & ICC. 3. Medical Workforce Coordination Supervise RMOs, duty doctors, and DNB trainees. Facilitate CME programs, trainings, and skill development for clinical staff. Participate in credentialing and privileging of clinicians. 4. Patient Safety & Experience Monitor clinical outcomes, incident reports, and patient grievances. Ensure timely resolution of complaints in coordination with MS office. Promote a culture of patient-centered care. 5. Regulatory & Statutory Compliance Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements (Biomedical Waste, PNDT, Pharmacy, Fire & Safety, AERB, etc.). Assist in preparing reports for governing bodies and regulatory authorities. 6. Strategic Planning & New Initiatives Support rollout of new departments, expansion projects, and service upgrades. Contribute to performance monitoring, KPI dashboards, and revenue optimization. Participate in management meetings and provide analytical inputs. Role Overview We are looking to empanel a team of experienced Anesthesiologists on a contract (fee-per-case) basis to provide anesthesia services for: LSCS (Elective & Emergency) Normal Delivery analgesia (as per availability) Pediatric surgeries Neonatal surgeries General surgeries Emergency cases Consultants will be included in a roster-based system, ensuring adequate coverage for elective and emergency procedures. Key Responsibilities Provide safe and evidence-based anesthesia for all assigned cases. Preoperative assessment of patients and counseling of attendants. Intraoperative monitoring and management. Post-operative pain management and follow-up. Collaborate with surgeons, obstetricians, pediatricians, and NICU teams. Maintain documentation, consent forms, and anesthesia records. Assist in strengthening OT safety, protocols, and NABH standards. Be available for emergency call duties as per agreed roster. Monitor vital signs, administer medications, carry out nursing procedures, and coordinate patient care with doctors. Handle emergency situations promptly and efficiently. Assist in specialized units such as NICU, Labour Room, PICU, Emergency Room, or OT , depending on posting. 2. Supervision & Team Leadership Guide, support, and supervise junior nurses and nursing assistants. Ensure proper handover/takeover and accurate documentation. NABH & Quality Compliance Maintain proper documentation, nursing notes, and patient records. Follow infection control practices, biomedical waste guidelines, and hospital policies.
