PCB Design Engineer

As a Senior Electrical and Electronics Engineer specializing in PCB Design at a top industrial AI startup in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and prototyping analog and digital circuits for advanced AI technology-based products. Your key responsibilities will include: - Designing, simulating, and prototyping analog and digital circuits for industrial products. - Collaborating with firmware and mechanical teams to deliver integrated hardware solutions. - Performing testing and debugging to ensure reliability and compliance with industry standards. - Optimizing designs for cost, manufacturability, and performance. - Staying updated with the latest advancements in electronic components. - Developing hardware schematics and Bills of Materials (BOM) using EDA tools. - Conducting worst-case analysis to ensure robust and reliable hardware designs. - Reviewing PCB layouts to ensure proper thermal management and compliance with EMI/EMC standards. - Collaborating with the functional safety team on FMEDA activities. - Performing and documenting hardware functional testing to validate compliance with customer requirements. - Troubleshooting and resolving issues arising from EMI/EMC, thermal, and electrical testing. To excel in this role, you should have: - 10+ years of hands-on experience in hardware design with a strong emphasis on analog and digital electronics. - Extensive knowledge and practical experience in DC/DC converters, Op-Amps, and other critical analog circuits. - In-depth understanding of EMI/EMC considerations and their impact on hardware design and performance. - Proven expertise in performing worst-case analysis to ensure hardware reliability across diverse operating conditions. - Good communication skills, critical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and a proactive attitude. - Ability to work effectively in team environments and engage with clients and stakeholders. Preferred qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or a related field, experience in automotive or industrial sectors, familiarity with functional safety standards, and proficiency in design tools such as Altium Designer or OrCAD.
