Patient Care Coordinator

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Act as a

  single point of contact for patients and their families

  during the hospital stay or OPD visit.
• Assist patients in understanding admission, discharge, billing, insurance, and other hospital processes.
  
• Provide information regarding

  bed charges, procedures, and estimated costs

  .
• Guide patients to the right departments, diagnostic areas, and wards ensuring smooth movement inside the hospital.
  
• Coordinate with clinical teams, nursing, billing, insurance, pharmacy, and other departments to ensure a seamless patient journey.
  
• Support patients with filling forms, signing undertakings, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies.
  
• Address

  queries, concerns, and grievances

  from patients/families and escalate when required.
• Maintain

  bed availability and allocation records

  , ensuring efficient utilization of hospital resources.
• Educate patients on hospital policies, safety protocols, and their rights/responsibilities.
  
• Conduct

  rounds in wards/OPD areas

  to check on patient comfort and feedback.
• Support the patient experience team in collecting and documenting patient satisfaction data.
  
• Ensure all services are delivered with empathy, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.
  

Skills Required:

• Strong communication skills in English, Hindi, and the local language.
  
• Patient-centric approach with empathy and problem-solving ability.
  
• Good coordination and multitasking skills.
  
• Basic knowledge of hospital workflows (admissions, billing, discharge, insurance).
  
• Proficiency in MS Office, HIS (Hospital Information Systems), and CRM tools.
  
• Ability to handle stressful situations with calmness and professionalism.
