Job Summary

The General Duty Assistant (GDA) provides essential support to doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff in delivering patient care and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient hospital environment. The GDA ensures that patients receive proper assistance in their daily activities and that the hospital’s operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in patient care activities such as bathing, feeding, dressing, and mobility support.
• Help in shifting and transporting patients within the hospital premises.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in patient rooms, wards, and treatment areas.
• Support nursing and medical staff by preparing beds, arranging patient rooms, and replenishing supplies.
• Assist in collecting and delivering specimens, reports, and medications.
• Monitor and record basic vital signs under supervision.
• Ensure proper waste segregation and disposal as per hospital protocols.
• Provide emotional support to patients and family members.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines diligently.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or medical team.

Qualifications and Skills

• Educational Qualification: Minimum 10th pass; GDA certification or training from a recognized institute preferred.
• Experience: 0–2 years of experience in a hospital or healthcare facility (freshers may apply).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹9,000.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month
