Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Planning, organizing and monitoring, various activities and processes of the section,including pre-analytical variables. Supervision of Technical Processes and Quality control of primarily Biochemistry, Immunology, Hematology, Coagulation, Cytology, Clinical Pathology, Serology, Histopathology & Molecular Biology.
Assigning and deploying, the human resource in order to provide timely Lab diagnostic services.
To train, motivate, develop and guide the human resource in order to enhance effectiveness at the work place.
To review the slides and provide a diagnostic report to the clients.
Planned meeting with staff to review and plan activities and issues.
Interacting with doctors, for test ordering practices, clarification and reports and counselling patients whenever circumstances permit.
Participate in CMEs/ Conferences, so that it has an influence on the perception of doctors.
Establishing Quality indicators and QIP of section and monitoring them
Reviewing the W.I.P, so that Cost achieved at the bench matches the recipe cost.
Release and revise patient results.
