Patent Paralegal Professional

As an Intellectual Property Officer at our university, you will play a crucial role in protecting and managing our innovative concepts and technologies. Your responsibilities will include: - Collaborating with Professors, Students, Inventors, researchers, and legal experts to understand innovative concepts and technologies. You will conduct interviews with Inventors to extract the novelty of their inventions. - Drafting Patent applications (PS/CS) in compliance with Indian laws to ensure clear and comprehensive protection for university inventions. - Demonstrating excellence in drafting Patent Claims. - Assisting in the development of intellectual property strategies, including patent portfolio management and maintenance. - Preparing technical drawings, specifications, and claims to support patent applications. - Liaising with external agencies for filing and prosecution processes. - Staying updated on changes in patent laws and regulations to ensure compliance and maximize protection. - Contributing to the development of an innovative and proactive IPR Cell within the university. - Conducting IP Awareness activities within the university. Qualifications and skills required for this role: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, IoT, Robotics, AI, etc. - Minimum of 1-5 years of experience in patent drafting, prosecution, or paralegal work. - Strong understanding of patent laws and regulations in India. - Proficiency in drafting patent claims and technical specifications. - Excellent written and oral communication skills. - (Optional) Registered Patent Agent with the Indian Patent Office.
