Job Title: PASTRY AND CHOCOLATE PRODUCTION CHEF Company: Southern Gourmet Bites Location: Trichy Employment Type: Full-time FRESHERS ALSO WELCOME Job Summary Southern Gourmet Bites is looking for a skilled and passionate Production Chef to lead our chocolate production process. The ideal candidate will have experience in food production and a strong understanding of quality standards, hygiene, and safety protocols. As a Production Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing daily production activities, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining the premium quality of our products. Key Responsibilities Chocolate Production: Oversee the entire chocolate production process, including molding, tempering, and packaging. Develop and execute recipes while maintaining consistency in taste, texture, and appearance. Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks at every stage of production to ensure adherence to company standards. Monitor raw materials and finished goods inventory to ensure freshness and quality. Hygiene and Safety: Ensure that hygiene and food safety protocols are strictly followed in the production area. Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations. Team Leadership: Train and supervise production staff, ensuring adherence to production timelines and quality expectations. Collaborate with artisans and team members to improve workflow efficiency and productivity. Equipment Maintenance: Monitor production equipment for proper functioning and report malfunctions promptly. Coordinate routine maintenance and servicing of machinery. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of production activities, inventory levels, and wastage. Assist in preparing reports on production performance and ingredient usage. Innovation: Collaborate with the product development team to create new recipes and improve existing products. Experiment with innovative techniques to enhance product offerings. Requirements Educational Background: Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts, Food Production, or a related field. Experience: Proven experience in a food production or culinary environment, preferably in chocolate or confectionery. Strong understanding of chocolate production techniques and equipment. Skills: Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards. Strong leadership and team management skills. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing physically demanding tasks.
