Parts Engineer

As a Technical Support Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for collaborating with customers, suppliers, local business partners, and colleagues across various functional areas such as engineering, planning, purchasing, and production. Your primary role will involve providing accurate technical solutions and quotations promptly to the sales channel. Your key responsibilities will include preparing Parts Quotations for Fisher Valves for sales and LBP channels, ensuring first-time accurate quotes for valve assembly spare parts, and recommending spare part numbers based on unit serial numbers or bill of materials. You will also assist in identifying part numbers for non-recommended parts required by customers for equipment overhaul and repair. Additionally, you will support parts identification through technical drawings, provide alternative parts compatible with existing valve processes, and compare new valve configurations against existing constructions. Furthermore, you will be tasked with providing price and delivery information for Sempell items, calculating list prices based on global pricing guidelines, and selecting the best offers from vendors to optimize gross profit while considering supplier delivery performance. Your role will also involve activating parts in FF2 based on list price and received delivery information from qualified vendors, handling quote requests for Nuclear Items, and generating Spare Part Interchangeability Records based on serial and tag numbers to enhance KOB3 growth. To be successful in this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering and preferably have 1-2 years of experience as a Technical Support Engineer or in a similar role. Knowledge of Control Valves and a general understanding of materials will be beneficial. Experience with order detailing in the valve industry and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, instruction manuals, and product bulletins are preferred qualifications.
