As the Piping Material Database Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the achievement of tasks related to the Piping material database in a project. This includes tasks such as conception, basic and detailed design for Piping Specification, as well as the creation and revision of Ordertexts and Technical Datasheets. You will also be involved in maintaining the database for Parts catalogs and transferring Products from TMMS to SRD and SAP. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance to the team on Piping database requirements and serve as a Mentor for GEA India. Your main tasks will involve supporting basic / Feed engineering by ensuring compliance with Statutory requirements and BASF guidelines. You will coordinate, monitor, control, and supervise all piping Engineering activities carried out by Engineering partners. It will be your responsibility to ensure that all mandatory BASF requirements and statutory requirements are met in the design process. You will also drive the creation and revision of Ordertexts and Technical Datasheets for BASF, both independently and with the engineering consultant team. Furthermore, you will be accountable for the functional, on-time, and within budget technical planning for the technical processing and procurement of the database for the Piping material scope of work for the project. Collaboration with clients, EPC contractors, and all project participants within the BASF Group will be essential for defining Piping material requirements on the project. You will also oversee the closing of piping database activities, approve engineering consultant timesheets for assigned projects, and ensure the completeness of as-built documentation and records for handover to site engineering. Your role will also involve establishing local know-how and market contacts in the relevant area of responsibility and sharing this knowledge with other/new project teams in BASF Asia Pacific and globally. Additionally, you will support and coordinate with other disciplines regarding Piping database requirements and track project-specific targets for the assigned responsibility within the framework of the project design and implementation into planning. You will be responsible for costs, quality, and schedule within the project frame for the assigned tasks. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering and have 2-4 years of experience in a related field. Your technical and professional knowledge should include extensive experience in Creation/Revision of Ordertexts/Technical Datasheets, Parts catalogs, and Transfer Products from TMMS to SRD and SAP. You should also possess a basic understanding of Piping Specification, Pipe Service Index & Data provision, as well as experience in Portfolio Management and relevant software/tools like SRD and databases. Additionally, skills in Layout engineering, stress analysis, and project execution will be beneficial. In terms of job-related preferred skills, experience in (chemical) project engineering/plant design and cost engineering will be advantageous. Planning and Scheduling skills will also be valuable for this role. Strong written English and verbal communication skills are mandatory, and German speaking skills will be considered an added advantage.,
