They must have knowledge of different types of paint and finishes and be able to mix and match colors accurately. Painters must also have a good eye for detail and be able to work efficiently and safely. Additionally, painters may be required to repair and patch surfaces before painting and use various tools and equipment such as brushes, rollers, and spray guns.
