Painter

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, and applying primer or filler as needed.
• Apply paint, varnishes, stains, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Select and mix paint to achieve the desired color and finish.
• Protect surrounding areas using drop cloths, masking tape, and other materials.
• Repair cracks, holes, or damaged surfaces prior to painting.
• Clean tools and work area after job completion.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and damage.
• Communicate with clients and supervisors to understand project scope and requirements.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and request materials as needed.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a painter (residential, commercial, or industrial).
• Knowledge of painting materials, surface preparation techniques, and tools.
• Ability to work at heights using ladders or scaffolding.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift/move heavy equipment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Valid drivers license (if travel between job sites is required).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with specialty finishes
• Basic carpentry or drywall repair skills.
• Customer service experience.
