Position: Area Sales Manager Industry: Construction Equipment (Material Handling and Road Construction Equipment’s such as Wheel Loader, Skid Steer Loader, Soil and Tandem Compactor, PTR etc). Location: Indore,Ahmedabad,Kolkota,Raipur Job Overview: The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for driving sales growth, managing customer relationships, and expanding the market share of construction equipment within a designated geographical area. The role involves developing sales strategies, overseeing a team (if applicable), and ensuring customer satisfaction while achieving revenue and profitability targets. Key Responsibilities: 1. Sales & Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory. Achieve sales targets for construction equipment and related services. Maintain relationships with existing customers while growing the customer base. Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitor strategies, and industry trends. Work closely with dealerships, distributors, and direct clients to maximize sales. 2. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, contractors, and decision-makers. Provide technical and commercial support to customers to help them choose the right equipment. Address customer queries, complaints, and service issues promptly. Organize and conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions for clients. 3. Sales Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement sales plans and strategies to achieve regional targets. Monitor market conditions and competitor activities to identify sales opportunities. Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and analysis to management. 4. Team & Dealer Management (if applicable): Manage and support a team of sales executives or dealership partners. Provide training and guidance to improve sales team performance. Coordinate with dealers to ensure effective product positioning and sales support. 5. Coordination & Compliance: Work closely with internal departments like marketing, finance, and service teams. Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and credit terms. Assist in after-sales service coordination and customer satisfaction initiatives. Key Requirements: 1. Education & Experience: Bachelor Of Engineering. 6+ years of experience in sales, preferably in construction equipment or heavy machinery. Proven track record in achieving sales targets. 2. Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of construction equipment and industry trends. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage and grow dealer networks and direct sales channels. Strong problem-solving skills and customer service orientation. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software. 3.
