Consultant Paediatrician

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough examinations of newborns, children, and adolescents to assess and diagnose health conditions.
  
• Provide treatment plans, prescribe medications, and recommend therapies in line with best paediatric practices.
  
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
  
• Educate and counsel parents/guardians on child development, nutrition, hygiene, immunization, and disease prevention.
  
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff, specialists, and allied health professionals for coordinated patient care.
  
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical records, reports, and documentation.
  
• Participate in clinical audits, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives.
  
• Stay updated with the latest medical research and paediatric guidelines.
  

Qualifications & Skills:

• MBBS with MD/DNB in Paediatrics or Diploma in Child Health (DCH).
  
• Valid medical license/registration with the Medical Council.
  
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience post-specialization.
  
• Strong clinical knowledge in diagnosing and managing common and complex paediatric cases.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
  
• Ability to handle emergencies and critical care situations confidently.
  
• Commitment to continued learning and professional development.
  

Preferred Skills (Optional):

• Experience in NICU/PICU (if applicable).
  
• Exposure to developmental paediatrics or adolescent care.
  
• Familiarity with EMR systems and hospital software tools.
