OT Technician

Industry: Hair Transplant & Skin Clinic

Job Summary:

The OT Technician will assist in all pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative procedures in the hair transplant and dermatology OT. The role requires strong technical skills, hygiene management, and coordination with doctors and clinical staff to ensure smooth OT functioning.

Key Responsibilities:1. OT Preparation & Setup

• Prepare OT before every procedure, ensuring cleanliness, sterilization, and equipment readiness.
• Arrange surgical instruments, consumables, and machines required for hair transplant (FUE/FUT) and dermatology procedures.
• Ensure proper functioning of OT equipment such as suction machines, lights, sterilizers, etc.

2. Assistance During Procedures

• Assist surgeons during hair transplant surgeries—extraction, implantation, graft handling, etc.
• Support dermatology procedures such as laser, PRP, peels, micro-needling, etc. (as per training).
• Maintain aseptic techniques and follow OT protocols strictly.
• Handle instruments & grafts carefully to maintain quality and hygiene.

3. Sterilization & Equipment Management

• Follow OT sterilization protocols (autoclaving, disinfection, waste disposal).
• Maintain inventory of OT consumables and restock before procedures.
• Ensure timely maintenance of surgical tools and equipment.

4. Patient Care & Coordination

• Assist in preparing patients for procedures (gowning, shaving, positioning, vitals monitoring).
• Explain OT instructions and provide basic pre- and post-care support.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and clinic staff for smooth operations.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain OT logs, sterilization records, equipment checklists, and consumables tracking.
• Report any issues or OT-related concerns to the Clinic Manager or Doctor in charge.

Skills & Competencies Required:

• Knowledge of OT procedures and sterilization techniques.
• Preferred experience in hair transplant or dermatology setups.
• Good communication and patient-handling skills.
• Strong attention to hygiene, safety, and protocol compliance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Team player with a professional approach.

Qualification:

• Diploma/Certificate in OT Technology or relevant healthcare course.
• Experience in aesthetic clinics will be an added advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
