The KRH Emergency Department has double coverage between 8am and midnight. The day is divided into 4 shifts, two 8am to 5pm shifts and two 5pm to midnight shifts. Overnight shifts are single coverage from midnight to 8am. Full time employment is approximately 12-14 shifts per month. At 0.5 FTE and 0.75 FTE, this will include approximately 2 and 3 overnights per month, respectively. Scheduling is quite flexible with the opportunity to accommodate vacation requests and other clinical or teaching interests. The FTE component is negotiable, and CCFP-EM is a requirement. The KRH Emergency Department is very well supported by outstanding specialists and services including Internal Medicine with a 5 bed ICU, General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Urology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology and Radiology.
