Oracle GoldenGate Specialist

We are searching for a highly skilled and experienced GoldenGate Specialist to become a part of our enterprise technology team supporting SBI Bank's core database replication and data migration projects. The perfect candidate should possess practical experience in setting up and managing Oracle GoldenGate environments to ensure real-time data replication, high availability, and business continuity. Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and supporting Oracle GoldenGate replication across various database platforms. You will be responsible for performing installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of GoldenGate components in both production and non-production environments. Monitoring and optimizing replication performance, latency, and throughput will also be a key part of your role. Collaborating closely with DBA teams, developers, and business stakeholders to define replication requirements and strategies is essential. Additionally, participating in data migration and disaster recovery planning using GoldenGate will be part of your duties. You will be expected to create and maintain technical documentation for all GoldenGate configurations and procedures, as well as handle incident, change, and release management processes related to replication systems. Ensuring security, data integrity, and compliance standards are maintained across replicated environments is a critical aspect of the role. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate in enterprise environments. Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills with experience in Oracle Database Administration are required. Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery architectures is essential, along with proficiency in troubleshooting data replication issues, monitoring lag, and applying patches or upgrades. Experience with heterogeneous replication (e.g., Oracle to MySQL, Oracle to PostgreSQL) is considered a plus. Familiarity with Unix/Linux scripting for automation tasks is preferred. A good understanding of database backup/recovery, performance tuning, and system maintenance is necessary. Prior experience in the BFSI domain, preferably banking, is desirable. Preferred qualifications include an Oracle GoldenGate certification, exposure to cloud-based replication solutions (OCI, AWS RDS with GoldenGate) as an added advantage, and experience with data masking or secure replication practices. Soft skills required for this position include strong communication and documentation skills, the ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams, and a problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
