Job Description

An Oracle Fusion Cloud Techno-Functional job description (JD)requires a candidate to possess a dual skillset: deep functional knowledge of Oracle Fusion modules and technical expertise in configuration, development, and integration.Key responsibilities include gathering business requirements, designing solutions using technical tools like Fast Formulas and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), performing configurations and extensions, data migration, and providing ongoing production support.Specific technical skills often include SQL, BI Publisher reports, web services (REST/SOAP), and extensions using Page Composer or Visual Builder.

Key Responsibilities

  • Requirements Gathering & Analysis:

    Collaborate with business users to understand requirements, perform gap analysis, and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
  • Solution Design & Development:

    Design and develop solutions for business needs, including writing Fast Formulas for custom logic and utilizing Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) for integrations.
  • Configuration & Setup:

    Configure and customize Oracle Fusion modules to meet specific business requirements.
  • Reporting & Analytics:

    Develop reports and dashboards using Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) Publisher or OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence).
  • Data Migration & Integration:

    Perform data migration from legacy systems and manage integrations with other applications using web services and REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Testing & Deployment:

    Create and execute test plans, participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and assist with deployment activities.
  • Production Support:

    Provide ongoing support to resolve issues, troubleshoot production problems, and implement enhancements.

Technical Skills

  • Oracle Fusion Tools:

    Proficiency in Fast Formulas, BI Publisher, OIC, REST/SOAP Web Services, Page Composer, or Visual Builder.
  • Programming/Querying:

    Strong SQL skills and ability to write Fast Formulas for custom logic in modules like OTL (Oracle Time & Labor) or HCM.
  • Integration:

    Experience with data migration tools and integrating with external systems via web services.
  • Reporting:

    Skill in using OTBI and BI Publisher for financial and other functional reports and dashboards.

Functional Expertise (Examples by Module)

  • Finance:

    Deep understanding of modules like General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Cash Management, Fixed Assets, and Procure-to-Pay processes.
  • Human Capital Management (HCM):

    Expertise in Payroll, Time & Labor (OTL), Absence Management, Core HR, Talent Management, and Benefits.
  • Supply Chain:

    Knowledge of Procurement, Inventory, and Fixed Assets.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
