Description
As an Oracle Distributions Specialist at our organization, you will be responsible for providing L2/L3 support for Oracle Inventory, Shipping, and Receiving modules. Your role will involve troubleshooting day-to-day issues related to inventory movement, order shipping, and inter-org transfers. You will also analyze recurring problems and implement long-term solutions. Working closely with business users, you will identify gaps in current distribution flows and configure setups for sub-inventories, locators, shipping networks, and item relationships. You will play a key role in implementing automation for receiving and putaway processes to enhance operational efficiency. Additionally, you will design functional specifications for custom RICEW objects and collaborate with technical teams on enhancements such as alerts, interfaces, and reports. Your responsibilities will also include coordinating with integration and logistics teams for WMS/TMS alignment to ensure seamless operations. As a subject matter expert in Oracle Distribution, you will advise on best practices and evaluate new features in Oracle Cloud/Fusion related to Distribution. You will be instrumental in proposing innovations like IoT for real-time inventory tracking, mobile-enabled warehouse solutions, and predictive inventory analytics to drive continuous improvement. Your role will involve analyzing and documenting change requirements, participating in testing phases, and coordinating deployments and validations. You will also be responsible for ensuring data accuracy and control over inventory transactions, as well as enforcing compliance with standard process flows. Furthermore, you will develop user training materials and conduct training sessions on various distribution processes. You will also guide junior consultants and onboard new support team members to ensure a cohesive and knowledgeable team environment. To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 6 years of experience in Oracle Distribution (Inventory, Shipping, Receiving) in a support environment. Proficiency in Oracle EBS/Fusion Distribution modules, SQL/PLSQL for data analysis, interface design with WMS/TMS systems, and Oracle APIs for inventory transactions is required. Additionally, having Oracle Inventory/SCM certifications would be advantageous. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with end users and cross-functional teams. You should have a deep understanding of supply chain and distribution flows, hands-on experience with setup, testing, and support for high-volume warehouses, and a functional understanding of SCM processes. In summary, this role requires expertise in Oracle Inventory and related modules, familiarity with inter-org and intra-org transfers, and a strong focus on maintaining data accuracy and compliance with standard processes.
