• We are looking to hire a talented Oracle Database Administrator to manage large enterprise Oracle database system.
• The candidate should be conversant with Oracle database installation, patch up upgrade, storage structure, backup, and recovery policy.
• Planning and scheduling maintenance activities and executing the same across enterprise level.
• User creation, defining backup policy, creating, and maintaining stored procedures and other database objects.
• Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses
• Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users and DBA team
• Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards
• Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity
• Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
• As needed, implement approved database configurations / corrections to mitigate points database performance / connectivity due to planned or unplanned incidents.
• Regularly maintain database security policies
• Automate database jobs and increase efficiency of the system.
• Identifying RCA for specific incidents
• Perform performance analysis and tuning of database
• Communicate effectively with internal and external audiences with varying levels of technical expertise.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong experience in Oracle 8i, 9i, 10g, 11g, 12c database administration
• Must have work experience on Unix | Linux OS|SQL with scripting knowledge
• Install, patch and maintain all Oracle software
• Tune all Oracle instance components including SQL and PL/SQL
• Control all migrations of Oracle schema objects
• Implement Oracle failover technology
• Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data
• Good to have NetBackup exposure i.e. Oracle backup configuration and troubleshooting from DB side
• Tools: Manage database backups and recovery using RMAN and third-party tools (e.g., NetBackup, Veeam).
• RMAN Scripting experience
• Maintain and monitor Oracle Data Guard (physical standby) for high availability.
• Participate in on-call support and incident troubleshooting.
• Managing database security, including user authentication, authorization, and access control. Providing database access as per requirements after securing necessary business justification and approvals
• Validation and resolution of issues in the Oracle Database based on alerts generated from notifications or emails.
• Adherence to Change management process for any configuration as per organizational policies
• Database automation experience
• Perform QA and Prod deployments, based on the scripts and SOP provided by the development team.
• Good to have MySQL
