Oracle DBA Golden Gate Resource

As a Senior Oracle DBA with Goldengate, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing Oracle Database systems with a focus on ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Your expertise in Oracle technologies, particularly Oracle RAC, AWR Review, standby database setup, and Goldengate replication, will be crucial in this role. With at least 8 years of experience in Oracle databases, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the database systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include hands-on performance tuning of Oracle databases, working with Oracle and Goldengate internals, database backup and recovery efforts, as well as tasks related to AWS technologies such as RDS, Redshift, and S3. Your proficiency in performance tuning of Oracle databases and Goldengate will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of database systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle technologies, including at least 6 years of experience with Goldengate replication. Additionally, experience with AWS technologies like RDS (Oracle and Aurora), Redshift, and S3 will be highly beneficial for this role. You will collaborate closely with other Senior DBAs and Architects within the Database Engineering team, contributing your expertise to the shared service group at a global Life Sciences company. If you have experience working with Exadata, ZFS, standby setup with broker configuration, or Goldengate with big data adapter, it will be considered a plus. This contract position based in India (with the potential for multiple extensions) offers the opportunity to work remotely, preferably from Bangalore.
