As a Senior Oracle DBA with experience in Goldengate, you will be responsible for managing Oracle databases and ensuring their optimal performance. With a minimum of 8 years of Oracle Database experience, including expertise in Oracle RAC and AWR Review, you will also have a strong background in standby database setup and support. Your role will involve working with Goldengate replication, with at least 6 years of experience in this area. Additionally, you should have at least 3 years of experience with AWS Technologies such as RDS (Oracle and Aurora), Redshift, and S3. In this position, you will be expected to excel in performance tuning of Oracle Databases and Goldengate, ensuring that they operate efficiently and effectively. Experience with Exadata, ZFS, standby setup with broker configuration, and Goldengate with big data adapter would be considered advantageous. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include actively participating in the Database Engineering team of a global Life Sciences company while being fully remote within India, preferably in the Bangalore area. You will dedicate 40% of your time to hands-on performance tuning in Oracle, 40% to working with Oracle/Goldengate internals, 10% to database backup/recovery efforts, and 10% to tasks related to AWS. Collaboration with other Senior DBAs and Architects will be essential as you contribute your expertise to the Database Services Organization, a Shared Service group within the company.
