Role & responsibilities 1) Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle 12c/19c databases on Linux and Windows platforms. 2) Perform database administration tasks, including backup, recovery, performance tuning, and database patch management. 3) Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations for high availability and scalability. 4) Manage database security, user roles, access privileges, and ensure compliance with IT security policies. 5) Implement and manage Oracle Data Guard for disaster recovery and high availability. 6) Perform regular database health checks, generate audit reports, and ensure data integrity. 7) Troubleshoot database issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide timely resolutions. 8) Support database migrations, upgrades, and capacity planning activities. 9) Collaborate with application developers, infrastructure teams, and vendors to support business applications. 10) Document database configurations, processes, and procedures for internal knowledge sharing. Preferred candidate profile 3-7 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA in the Banking, Financial Services, IT. Proven experience managing production databases in a 24x7 environment. Exposure to high-availability environments and mission-critical applications. Experience with database upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery drills. Strong knowledge of Oracle Database 12c/19c architecture, administration, and features. Expertise in Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN, and GoldenGate replication. Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, performance tuning, and query optimization techniques. Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for database monitoring and automation. Knowledge of Linux/Unix shell scripting for database automation tasks. Familiarity with database security best practices, auditing, and compliance standards. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills. Educational Qualification: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology Certification Certifications such as: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) Oracle Database 12c/19c
