Oracle Database Engineer_Full Time_5+ Years

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the

  design and development

   of database systems.

• Optimize

   database systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Perform

  database maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting

   activities.
• Test database systems, identify issues, and perform

  bug fixes

  .
• Provide

  database solutions

   based on technical documents and business requirements.
• Develop

  database functions, scripts, stored procedures, and triggers

   to support application development.
• Offer technical support to resolve issues related to

  performance, capacity, and access

  .
• Ensure

  data integrity, consistency, and quality

   across database systems.
• Maintain

  standard policies and best practices

   for database development and operations.
• Identify and rectify

  database errors

   in a timely manner.
• Create

  physical and logical database models

   based on business needs.
• Manage and monitor

  performance, capacity, and security

   of databases.
• Prepare

  documentation

   for database design, configuration, and change management.
• Mentor junior database administrators to effectively manage databases.
• Perform

  regular data backups and archival

  .
• Take on

  challenging tasks under pressure

   and provide

  24x7 on-call support

   in rotation.

Must Have Skills:

• 8+ years of overall IT experience with at least 3+ years in database engineering, administration, and support.
• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle administration in a production environment.
• Experience with secondary databases such as MongoDB or MariaDB.
• Expertise in Oracle cluster deployment, maintenance, and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL technologies and available frameworks.
• Proficiency in Linux system administration and network maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Shell.
• Strong SQL development and troubleshooting skills.

Good to Have Skills:

• Knowledge of ElasticSearch and Redis.
