Optical Bonding- Process Engineer

Role & responsibilities

As an Optical Bonding Process Engineer, you will lead the development, optimization, and

implementation of optical bonding processes within the manufacturing environment. You will

focus on process engineering activities to improve efficiency, quality, and yield of optical

bonding for electronic products including displays and mobile assemblies. This role requires

strong expertise in process development, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement,

combined with practical knowledge of electronic product manufacturing, machine design, and

software tools.

Preferred candidate profile

Develop, standardize, and optimize optical bonding processes (OCA, LOCA, silicone

bonding) to meet quality and productivity goals.

• Lead process engineering initiatives for LCD, TFT, Display, and Mobile Assembly

manufacturing lines.

• Conduct process capability studies, root cause analysis, and implement corrective

actions to resolve bonding defects such as bubbles, delamination, and haze.

• Define, control, and improve process parameters and control plans ensuring

repeatability and robustness.

• Collaborate with R&D and cross-functional teams for process scale-up from pilot to

mass production.

• Design and develop jigs, fixtures, and tooling for bonding processes; apply knowledge of

pneumatics and hydraulics to support equipment optimization.

• Utilize AutoCAD and SolidWorks for process equipment design and documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent

methodologies.

• Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs),

and training materials.

• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards within process

operations.
