Job Profile – Part-Time Ophthalmologist

1. Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Part-Time Ophthalmologist to manage OPD, perform basic and advanced eye examinations, and conduct minor & major ophthalmic procedures at Radiante Multispeciality. The candidate will be responsible for high-quality patient care, diagnosis, treatment planning, and supporting the centre’s eye-health initiatives.

2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Clinical Responsibilities

• Conduct routine Ophthalmology OPD (2–3 hours/week).
• Perform comprehensive eye examinations including:
• Visual acuity tests
• Slit-lamp examinations
• IOP measurement
• Fundus examination
• Diagnose and manage common eye diseases such as refractive errors, cataracts, glaucoma, dry eye, infections, allergies, etc.

B. Procedures (Minor & Major)

• Minor Procedures:
• Foreign body removal
• Chalazion incision & curettage
• Syringing & probing
• Conjunctival procedures
• Major Procedures (as required / scheduled):
• Cataract evaluations & pre-op counselling
• Assist / advise on cataract and other major surgeries (in-house or tie-up centres)

C. Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain accurate patient records in EMR.
• Prepare prescriptions, diagnostic reports, and follow-up instructions.
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, NABH guidelines & medical standards.

D. Patient Education & Counselling

• Provide counselling on vision-care practices.
• Educate patients on treatment options, surgical procedures, risks & preventive care.

E. Centre Support

• Support eye camps, screening events & CSR initiatives (as per schedule).
• Coordinate with front office & technicians for smooth OPD workflow.

Eligibility & Qualifications

• MBBS + MS / DOMS / DNB in Ophthalmology (mandatory).
• Valid Delhi Medical Council registration.
• Minimum 1–3 years of clinical experience preferred.
• Strong diagnostic ability and patient-friendly attitude.
• Proficiency in managing OPD independently.

Work Schedule

• 2–3 hours per week (fixed day or flexible scheduling).
• Special appointments or procedures may be scheduled as required.

Remuneration

• Variable (based on OPD, procedures, and revenue-sharing model).
• Additional incentive for minor and major ophthalmic procedures.

Reporting Structure

• Reports To: Medical Director / Clinical Head
• Coordinates With: OPD Manager, Optometrist, Reception & Billing Team
