Operator Trainee

Role & responsibilities

Job Purpose:

To ensure smooth and efficient operation of production line equipment and maintain product quality standards in compliance with company procedures, safety norms, and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Machine Operation & Maintenance

• Operate assigned machines such as filler, blower, labeller, shrink wrapper, palletizer, or mixer.
  
• Ensure machine setup and parameter adjustments as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  
• Conduct routine checks and ensure machines are running efficiently with minimum downtime.
  
• Report breakdowns, faults, and abnormalities immediately to the maintenance team.
  

2. Production & Quality Control

• Monitor production parameters and ensure adherence to process standards.
  
• Maintain batch-wise records and report deviations, if any.
  
• Perform in-process quality checks (temperature, pressure, carbonation, sealing, etc.).
  
• Ensure finished product meets quality specifications and regulatory compliance.
  

3. Safety & Hygiene

• Follow all safety protocols, PPE usage, and GMP practices.
  
• Maintain cleanliness in and around the production area as per 5S standards.
  
• Participate in safety drills and report unsafe conditions.
  

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily production logs, downtime records, and shift reports.
  
• Ensure proper handover during shift change.
  
• Record material consumption and wastage data accurately.
  

5. Continuous Improvement

• Support initiatives to reduce wastage, energy consumption, and improve machine efficiency.
  
• Participate in Kaizen, TPM, or lean manufacturing activities.
  

Qualification & Experience:

• Qualification:

  ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering.

• Experience:

  13 years of experience in beverage / FMCG / food processing industry preferred.

• Freshers

  with relevant technical qualifications may also be considered for trainee roles.
