Designation: Plant Operator
Department: Operations – CETP
Salary Range: ₹25,000 – ₹30,000 per month

Key Responsibilities:

• Regularly monitor and inspect all tanks (e.g., pumps, levels, and quality parameters) shift-wise.
• Conduct monitoring and testing activities at the treatment plant and sludge site as per licensing and compliance requirements.
• Check and record parameters such as pH, temperature, and TDS for all tanks (Collection, EQT, SBC, and All C-Tech basins) during each shift.
• Analyze and evaluate operational and maintenance procedures based on daily performance observations.
• Remain on-call to respond promptly to any emergencies or equipment breakdowns at the plant or pump stations.
• Perform routine weekend checks of the treatment plant on a rotational basis.
• Monitor online instruments (inlet/outlet flow meters, pH meters, etc.) and record readings as per SOP.
• Collect daily samples from all tanks during the morning shift: composite samples, grab samples, and tanker-based composite samples.
• Operate filter presses, remove sludge shift-wise, and manage sludge generation and disposal.
• Monitor and ensure proper functioning of all plant equipment, pumps, and machinery.
• Always wear and enforce the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Maintain proper documentation, including log sheets, flow meter readings, and report books.
• Train and guide subordinates as needed.
• Prepare dosing solutions according to flow rates and measure dosing at SBC twice per shift.
• Coordinate effectively with the Laboratory, Maintenance, and Stores departments.
• Provide positive and clear reporting to the Shift In-Charge/HOD.
• Prioritize and ensure regular housekeeping of the plant without fail.
• Handle visits and inspections from the Pollution Control Board (GPCB) team appropriately.
• Clean and maintain online TOC sensors and the catch pot tank regularly.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with the shift reliever and shift in-charge.
