The Role - Operations Manager

You will be responsible for

• Improving & streamlining our clients' Amazon operations
• Managing send-to-Amazon shipments
• Sorting barcode & SKU code issues
• Liaising with the client and their fulfilment centre
• Offer considered advice around fulfilment options
• Create shipment forecasts
• Premeditate and mitigate peak period logistical issues
• Share clear, consistent updates with clients regarding stock availability

You will track key metrics within the account health and performance notifications sections, ensuring a level of proactivity when it comes to account issues, rather than clients raising them with us. Your crucial objective will be to avoid any out-of-stock periods.

Your time will also be spent optimising and automating Sapling Growth's internal operations, such as:

• Claude projects, scheduled tasks and workflows
• Improving our Notion workspace as the source of truth
• Identifying and onboarding tools that will improve our systems and processes

The Individual

• Two or more years of Amazon operations experience
• You think like a founder and you care about the client's bottom line. You look at the whole commercial picture and protect their profitability as if it were your own money.
• Amazon is complex and opaque, so you are clear, direct and transparent. You translate technical Amazon jargon into plain business logic, explaining the why behind your actions in simple terms, and speaking with clarity and confidence.
• You know the best strategy is worthless without flawless execution. You treat the details with meticulous care, double-check your work, stick to deadlines and build systems that catch errors before the client does.
• You're proactive, bringing ideas and optimisation strategies to clients rather than waiting to be asked.
• You own your mistakes. You admit when you don't know the answer and look for ways to close the gap, and you raise confusion or errors as soon as you spot them.
• You are not afraid to challenge those more senior than you, both client-side and within Sapling Growth, presenting your reasoning in a clear, succinct and considered manner.
