Job Description

Experience

OpenShift Support Engineer L2

moderate-level cluster operations

Roles & Responsibilities

Manage pod-level activities, services, routes, config maps, secrets, and PVCs.
Perform OpenShift resource provisioning, project creation, and RBAC updates.
Assist in worker node patching, reboots, and capacity checks.
Analyze logs, identify performance issues, and support incident resolution.
Coordinate with development teams for app deployment, scaling, and ingress routing.
Support day-to-day administration tasks such as image pulls, quota management, and monitoring.
Participate in change requests, DR drills, and shift-based support operations.

Required Skills

25 years of experience supporting Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms.
Strong in:

OCP CLI (oc), Helm charts, Operators, and YAML templating
RHEL/Linux system administration and scripting (Bash/Python)
RBAC, service exposure, image management, and volume handling
Monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki/EFK stack basics

Familiarity with DevOps pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, ArgoCD) and GitOps concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications
: RHCSA, RHCE (preferred), OpenShift Foundations or equivalent
Experience with:

Jenkins/Tekton pipelines, Git workflows
CI/CD deployment troubleshooting
Working with Red Hat support for low to moderate severity tickets

Knowledge of hybrid OpenShift setupsor OpenShift on cloud (ARO/ROSA)
