Job Description

Opening for IT Asset management- L1 Technical Support - Bangalore

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and update the IT asset inventory database (hardware and software).
Track and report hardware counts across departments and locations.
Monitor software installations and ensure license compliance.
Coordinate annual maintenance schedules for IT equipment.
Assist in procurement, tagging, and deployment of new assets.
Support audits and reconciliation of physical vs. recorded assets.
Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 support teams.
Collaborate with procurement and vendor teams for maintenance renewals.
Document asset movements, repairs, and replacements.
Use tools like ServiceNow, SCCM, or JAMF for asset tracking and reporting.

Required Skills:

Basic knowledge of IT hardware (laptops, desktops, printers, etc.).
Familiarity with software license management and compliance.
Experience with asset tracking tools and ticketing systems.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to coordinate with vendors for maintenance and support.
Basic understanding of ITIL processes and lifecycle management.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in annual maintenance planning and execution.
Knowledge of CMDB, Intune, or similar platforms.
Exposure to software asset management tools (e.g., Flexera, Ariba).
Ability to generate reports and dashboards for asset visibility.
