Job Description

Role: OPD Assistant

Location: Kashi Netralaya Eye Hospital & LASIK Laser Centre, Varanasi

Key Responsibilities

Greet patients politely and guide them to registration, waiting area, OPD room, or tests.
Register patients on the hospital software and update basic details accurately.
Generate and print OPD slips, bills, and basic reports.
Help in managing patient flow: calling patients in order, coordinating with doctors and optometrists.
Maintain OPD records, files, and reports in an organized manner.
Assist in explaining basic instructions to patients (waiting time, next step, payment counter, etc.).
Coordinate with reception, OPD, OT, and diagnostic areas for smooth patient movement.
Maintain cleanliness and discipline in the OPD area.

Required Skills & Qualities

Quick and efficient in handling patients and tasks.
Soft spoken, polite, and patient-friendly in behaviour.
Basic computer knowledge (Windows, data entry, printing).
Basic typing skills in English; Hindi typing is an added advantage.
Ability to learn hospital software quickly.
Good listening skills and clear communication.
Ability to work in a team and stay calm during rush hours.

Qualification & Experience

Minimum 12th pass; graduate preferred but not compulsory.
Prior experience in hospital OPD/clinic will be preferred, but freshers with good attitude will be considered.

Working Style

Punctual and responsible.
Respectful towards patients, attendants, doctors, and staff.
Willing to follow hospital protocols and training.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
