Online English Teacher (Grades 1–8)

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our educational team at Prim Roses Global Academy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching English and a genuine enthusiasm for fostering a love of language and literature among students.

In this role, you will create engaging lesson plans, nurture students’ language skills, and provide a supportive learning environment that encourages academic growth, confidence, and self-expression. This position includes teaching general English, grammar, phonics, creative writing, and public speaking.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons covering phonics, grammar, reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills
• Support students in developing writing, creative expression, and public speaking skills
• Conduct trial/demo classes to showcase the value of our programs to potential students.
• Provide personalized academic support, tailoring lessons to student needs.
• Collaborate with the academic team to enhance lesson plans and teaching materials.
• Prepare and share lesson plans, worksheets, and digital resources.

• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development

• Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding progress and areas for improvement
• Maintain a supportive and interactive classroom atmosphere
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall improvement of the academy’s educational programsQualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field; TESOL or TEFL certification is preferred
• TESL certification is a plus
• Proven experience teaching English as a second language or in an academic setting is desirable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple classes effectively
• Ability to create engaging lesson plans catering to diverse learning styles
• Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude toward student success
• Passion for education and fostering student growth
• Strong digital literacy – comfortable with Google Meet/Zoom, MS Office, and online teaching tools.

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring Grades 1–8 (online experience preferred).
• Ability to teach both online and in-person classes
• Experience guiding students in writing, spelling, and creative skills for contests (essay, short story, poetry, Spelling Bee) is a plus
• Previous online teaching experience preferred

Note: Must be available to work during US/Canada hours and on weekends.

Duties

• Teach up to 3 students at a time, adapting lessons to different learning levels
• Complete post-lesson notes and daily student communication updates
• Create interactive and fun learning experiences that motivate students
• Help students build confidence, self-esteem, and communication skills
• Participate in ongoing training, feedback sessions, and professional development opportunities
