Oncology Infusion Authorization Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

Review and verify insurance eligibility and benefits for oncology infusion services.
Obtain prior authorizations from insurance providers in accordance with payer guidelines.
Communicate with physicians, clinical staff, and insurance companies to facilitate approvals.
Accurately document all authorization activities and maintain up-to-date patient records.
Follow up on pending authorizations and resolve any denials or delays.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all healthcare regulatory standards.
Collaborate with billing and clinical teams to ensure smooth coordination of patient treatment plans.

Requirements:

1–3 years of hands-on experience in oncology infusion authorization.
Strong knowledge of insurance verification, authorization procedures, and payer requirements.
Excellent communication and client coordination skills.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.
Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems preferred.
Ability to work in a night shift and handle a fast-paced environment.
