Role Summary:
The Lead Analyst will act as the primary point of contact for global clients, lead project delivery, and manage both client and internal stakeholder relationships. This role demands expert-level Power BI capabilities, strong business acumen, and the ability to work independently with minimal guidance along with . The Lead Analyst is expected to drive solution strategy, ensure reporting excellence, and play a leadership role within the team
Key Responsibilities
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary liaison for global clients (Internal and external) across time zones
- Build and manage strong client relationships by understanding business goals and proactively recommending improvements
- Lead requirement workshops, solution design discussions, and status meetings
- Ensure high-quality delivery and client satisfaction across all projects
Project & Delivery Leadership
- Lead project workstreams for timely, flawless delivery and clear business impact
- Own the complete lifecycle of dashboard development, from scoping, estimation, design, development, testing, to deployment
- Establish and enforce best practices in visualization, data modeling, DAX optimization, and governance
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to DNA/project standards
- Lead problem-solving for complex data issues and escalations
Technical Expertise
- Design highly scalable and complex data models suited for enterprise reporting
- Build advanced DAX measures, custom calculations, and optimized data flows
- Implement row-level security, incremental refresh, and other enterprise-grade Power BI features
Team Leadership & Business Value
- Guide and mentor Analysts and Senior Analysts; support their career development
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, template creation, KPI frameworks, and reusable reporting assets
- Bring an entrepreneurial mindset, identify new opportunities, innovate reporting solutions, and drive efficiency
- Quickly learn and adopt new tools, techniques, and emerging trends in BI and analytics
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in science, Finance, Mathematics, Economics or equivalent. MS or Certificate courses in analytics preferred
Experience & Skills Requirements:
- Overall experience of 6+ years in Power BI is must with strong end-to-end project delivery skills and experience leading multiple projects
- Expert-level skills in DAX, Power Query, advanced data modelling, optimization, and visualization
- Experience with Power BI ecosystem tools, including custom visuals, Dataflows, and Power Automate
- Proven experience as a client-facing leader managing global stakeholders
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Ability to work independently, take full ownership, and deliver under tight timelines
- Fast learner with a proactive and entrepreneurial approach
- Experience working with cloud platforms, SQL, DWH concepts, and data engineering teams is a strong plus
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose data issues quickly
- Ability to mentor junior team members
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of stakeholders (both internal and external)
- Willingness to travel as required to meet client needs
