You should have a solid understanding of railway electrification standards and codes such as BS EN, RDSO, BIS, etc. Your responsibilities will include developing General Arrangement Drawings (GADs) and performing design calculations for Overhead Catenary Systems, ensuring adherence to project specifications and focusing on stability, safety, execution feasibility, and reliability. You will be analyzing mast foundations, structures, cantilevers, droppers, clearance studies, tension lengths, and wire tensions for various load cases and project parameters. Proficiency in software tools like AutoCAD and Excel or similar is required. Your role will involve preparing and reviewing technical arrangement drawings for Overhead Catenary Systems (OCS) according to railway electrification standards such as RDSO, BIS, BS, etc. You will need to ensure the accurate representation of masts, portals, cantilevers, wiring, and related components. Additionally, you will develop detailed arrangements for various OHE structures while focusing on compliance, safety, and project requirements. Proficiency in AutoCAD is necessary for this task. You will be responsible for the detailed design of Overhead Equipment (OHE) layout plans following railway electrification standards like RDSO, ACTM, RITES, etc., and project specifications. This involves precise positioning of masts, portals, wiring, and other components based on inputs such as track alignment, signal positions, span lengths, and clearances. Collaboration with alignment, survey, and site teams is essential to ensure accuracy and feasibility, with a focus on safety, reliability, and compliance with standards. Technical support during execution will also be required. Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must for this aspect of the role. In addition, you will be expected to perform accurate quantity estimations for materials and components needed for railway electrification projects. This will involve conducting detailed surveys and measurements to validate designs and ensure feasibility, as well as preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates while adhering to project specifications and standards. Coordination with design, alignment, and site teams to verify and update quantities as necessary will be crucial.
