Job Description Officer/Sr. Officer/Executive Purchase (Material & Packing Material Procurement) Location: Mumbai, India Company: BDR Pharmaceuticals International Pvt. Ltd. Experience: 2 6 years Position Overview: BDR Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Purchase Officer/Sr. Officer/Executive to support the procurement of materials and packaging materials . The role involves vendor coordination, sourcing, negotiation, and ensuring timely availability of materials to support production and operational requirements. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong negotiation skills, and a good understanding of procurement processes in the pharmaceutical industry. Key Responsibilities: Procurement Execution: Handle end-to-end procurement of raw materials, consumables, and packaging materials in alignment with company requirements. Supplier Coordination: Identify, evaluate, and liaise with vendors and suppliers to ensure uninterrupted supply. Purchase Order Management: Raise and track purchase orders, ensuring timely approvals and follow-ups for on-time delivery. Inventory Monitoring: Coordinate with the warehouse and production teams to ensure optimal stock levels and avoid shortages. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier contracts, and procurement reports. Key Requirements: Education: Graduate in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A diploma/certification in procurement is an added advantage. Experience: 2 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in pharmaceutical materials and packaging materials. Procurement Knowledge: Understanding of sourcing, vendor management, and inventory control processes. Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms effectively. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication for vendor and stakeholder coordination. Analytical Abilities: Capability to analyze costs, supplier performance, and market trends. ERP & Software Proficiency: Experience with procurement software or ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and MS Office tools. Hands on experience on SAP will be preferable.
