OCPP specialist

As an Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) Specialist, your role will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining OCPP-compliant charging solutions for electric vehicle charging infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, conduct testing and validation of OCPP implementations, and provide technical support to ensure secure and reliable communication protocols for remote management and monitoring of charging stations. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop OCPP-compliant software solutions for electric vehicle charging stations. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate OCPP protocols into existing charging infrastructure. - Implement secure and reliable communication protocols for remote management and monitoring of charging stations. - Conduct thorough testing and validation of OCPP implementations to ensure compliance and reliability. - Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to internal teams and external partners. - Stay updated on industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies related to OCPP and electric vehicle charging. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of OCPP implementations through feedback, innovation, and optimization. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development, with a focus on network protocols and embedded systems. - Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Java, Python, or Go. - In-depth knowledge of OCPP specifications (e.g., OCPP 1.6, OCPP 2.0) and related protocols (e.g., SOAP, JSON-RPC). - Experience with communication technologies commonly used in electric vehicle charging infrastructure, such as TCP/IP, WebSocket, and MQTT. - Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and practices for securing networked systems. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. - Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. - Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
