Role Overview We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Director, Trading to lead and expand our ETF trading operation. This senior leadership position is responsible for overseeing trading execution, managing a team of traders, and serving as the primary point of contact for all trading-related matters. The ideal candidate will bring deep domain expertise, market connectivity, and the ability to shape the direction of our trading strategy in alignment with Oceane’s broader growth objectives. As Senior Director, you will be a key voice in the firm’s strategy meetings and a critical partner to stakeholders across the organization and externally—working closely with brokers, exchanges, asset managers, and regulators. Reports to: Head of Trading Key Responsibilities Lead the ETF trading function across U.S., European, and Middle Eastern markets. Manage and grow a high-performing team of traders as the firm expands. Maintain a consistent market presence and tight spreads across primary and secondary markets. Oversee risk management, pricing, and real-time inventory control. Serve as the go-to person for management on all trading and day-to-day operational issues. Liaise daily with local and global brokers to optimize execution and market access. Build and maintain strong relationships with local exchanges and regulators. Represent the trading desk in interactions with global asset managers and strategic partners. Participate in firm-wide strategy meetings and contribute to key decisions that shape business direction. Guide collaboration between trading, technology, compliance, and operations teams to drive innovation and efficiency. Support ETF listing and seeding efforts, helping to scale the firm’s product and trading footprint. Qualifications 8+ years of experience in ETF trading, market making, or delta-one products, including leadership responsibilities. Proven track record managing traders and trading books across multiple regions. Deep understanding of ETF mechanics: NAV, creation/redemption, arbitrage, and tracking error. Strong market connectivity with brokers, exchanges, and buy-side institutions. Experience with cross-border ETF trading and hedging strategies (currency, futures, synthetic replication). Proficient in trading systems and platforms such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, FlexTrade, and API-based tools. Comfort with Python or other scripting languages for analytics and decision support. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Journalism, Communications, or a related field is a plus.
