Occupational Therapist

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team, specializing in working with children diagnosed with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and varying functional abilities. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life and functional independence of children with diverse needs through personalized interventions and strategies.

Responsibilities:

Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the sensory, motor, and cognitive needs of children with ADHD, ASD, and a range of functional levels.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to gather insights into each child's strengths, challenges, and goals.

Individualized Intervention Plans: Design and implement individualized occupational therapy intervention plans that target specific sensory, motor, and cognitive difficulties associated with ADHD and Autism.Develop strategies to address challenges in daily activities, fine and gross motor skills, self-regulation, attention, and social interactions.

Therapeutic Activities: Lead engaging and purposeful therapeutic activities to enhance sensory integration, motor coordination, attention, and self-care skills.
Use creative approaches to ensure interventions are tailored to the unique needs and interests of each child.

Family and Caregiver Collaboration: Provide education and guidance to parents, caregivers, and teachers, enabling them to support the child's progress within different environments.
Foster effective communication and collaboration to create a consistent and supportive network.

Documentation and Progress Tracking: Maintain accurate and organized records of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes.
Regularly review and adjust intervention strategies based on ongoing assessments and feedback.

Adaptive Technology and Equipment: Recommend and incorporate adaptive tools, assistive technology, and equipment that facilitate functional independence and participation.

Continuing Education: Stay updated with the latest research, techniques, and best practices in pediatric occupational therapy for ADHD and Autism. Attend workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy with minimum 2 years of experience.
• State licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience working with children diagnosed with ADHD and Autism, along with various functional levels.
• Profound understanding of sensory integration principles, behavior management, and therapeutic techniques.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.
