Occupational Therapist

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our

child-focused therapy team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with

children with developmental delays, sensory processing challenges, fine/gross motor

difficulties, and other functional needs. This role involves assessing, planning, and

implementing therapy interventions that help children develop the skills necessary for

daily living, learning, and play.

Employment Type: Part-time

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive evaluations of children to assess motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and daily living skills.
2. Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on the child’s goals and needs.
3. Provide one-on-one and/or group therapy sessions in a child-friendly setting.
4. Collaborate with other professionals (speech therapists, behavioural therapists, psychologists) to support holistic development.
5. Educate and guide parents/caregivers on therapy strategies and home programs.
6. Document evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans accurately and in a timely manner.
7. Participate in team meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary planning.
8. Stay informed on the latest research, techniques, and best practices in paediatric occupational therapy

Qualifications:

1. Bachelors/ Masters in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
2. Strong understanding of neurodevelopmental principles, sensory integration theory, and behavioural strategies.
3. Experience working with children and adolescents with ASD, ADHD, SPD, Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome, and other related disorders.
