As an Obsolescence Management Engineer with 3-5 years of experience, your role involves proactively identifying and mitigating risks associated with the end-of-life of components and technologies. You will be responsible for analysing potential obsolescence issues, developing strategies, and ensuring product functionality and reliability throughout its lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and coordinate obsolescence management activities - Check export control relevance and any specific restrictions - Review and document affected assemblies/components due to change scope - Coordinate with stakeholders regarding qualification - Manage change documentation in tools like OM tool, Windchill, and SAP - Collect and pre-evaluate OM relevant data - Document safeguarding measures, prepare releases, and define corrective actions - Prepare technical reports for series documentation Qualifications & Experience: - Diploma/bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering - 3-5 years of experience in component qualification process domain - Knowledge of SAP, Creo, Windchill, MS Office - Good understanding of engine components and functions - Knowledge of manufacturing processes like casting, forging, machining, etc. - Experience in qualification process and testing for diesel engine components - Understanding of field issues related to obsolescence management - Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team Please note that the job is based in Pune and requires expertise in Obsolescence, testing of diesel engine components, validation of diesel components, coordination between development and testing teams, and proficiency in tools like Creo and Windchill.
