Nx CAM Post Builder / Post Configurator Developer

As a Post Processor Developer at Siemens Energy, your role will involve the development of post processors for a variety of machines including Turning (VTL & HTL), Milling (2, 3 & 5 axes), Millturn, W-EDM, CNC Grinding machines using NX Post Builder / Post Configurator. Your key responsibilities will include: - Creation and debugging of post-processors for different machine and control configurations. - Providing support in Virtual machine & control creation using Vericut or NX-ISV. - Applying fundamental knowledge of geometry creation, toolpath generation, and toolpath post-processing for Turning, Wirecut, Milling (3-5 axes), and Millturn CNC Programming. - Providing safe and efficient CNC programs along with supporting documentation to the shop. - Verifying NC programs are in accordance with required drawings, specifications, and quality systems. - Assisting in documenting standard operating processes and procedures. - Contributing to process improvements to reduce manufacturing costs and enhance the quality of parts being produced. - Assisting in training others on CNC fundamentals & manufacturing processes. To qualify for this role, you should have a B.Tech / BE in Mechanical or Industrial & Production Engg. with a minimum of 5 years of experience in UG/NX Post builder / Post Configurator. Additionally, you should possess: - Good knowledge of tcl programming and NX FBM & MKE. - Experience in machine & control creation in Vericut, NX-ISV, or other NC verification software. - Good knowledge of UG/NX CAM programming for Turning & Milling machines. - Proficiency in G & M codes, cutting tools, cutting parameters, and knowledge of CAM automation/Customization. - Ability to read and interpret complex machining drawings. - Work experience in product manufacturing industries such as Centrifugal compressor, Reciprocating compressor, Steam turbine, or Gas turbine.
