Job Description

  • Plan, organize, and supervise all nursing services across departments.
  • Develop and enforce nursing protocols, SOPs, and care standards
  • Prepare and manage nursing budgets and resource allocation
  • Monitor nursing workflows, productivity, and efficiency.
  • train, and orient new nursing staff.
  • Create duty rosters, manage shift allocations, and leave schedules
  • Conduct regular staff appraisals, performance reviews, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Mentor and motivate the nursing team for continuous professional development.
  • Monitor and improve the quality of patient care delivery.
  • Ensure proper documentation, medical records, and reporting protocols.
  • Oversee infection control measures and patient safety practices.
  • Handle complaints and grievances related to nursing care.
  • Ensure all nursing operations comply with NABH, JCI, and local health authority standards.
  • Prepare for internal and external audits and implement recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for compliance and licensing.
  • Collaborate with medical, paramedical, and administrative departments.
  • Support clinical operations, emergency preparedness, and crisis management.
  • Act as a liaison between the nursing department and hospital leadership.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in hospital information systems and nursing documentation.
  • Sound knowledge of clinical and administrative practices.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with calm and professionalism.
  • Hospital-based; may involve extended hours and on-call duties.
  • Direct interaction with patients, staff, and management.
