Job Description

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring high standards of patient care and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies and procedures to enhance the quality of care and operational efficiency.

Lead, mentor, and manage nursing staff, providing training and support to foster professional growth and development.

Collaborate with medical staff and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and improve service delivery.

Manage staffing schedules, assignments, and resource allocation to ensure optimal coverage and patient care.

Monitor and manage department budgets, resources, and equipment to maintain cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and protocols, conducting regular audits and risk assessments.

Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes to align nursing practices with the organization's goals.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution; Masters degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.

Valid nursing license and registration as a Registered Nurse (RN).

Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, and personnel effectively.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
