As an Audit Manager at Sentient, an Ascend Company, you will play a crucial role in managing a diverse portfolio of clients in the United States. Working closely with a skilled team based in the U.S. and India, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the audit process, ensuring high-quality and timely deliverables that meet client expectations. Your primary focus will be on clients within the Construction industry, with additional involvement in engagements related to Employee Benefit Plans (EBP) or Not-for-Profit (NFP) organizations. You will lead a team of Seniors, Senior Associates, and Associates, managing client relationships, workflow allocation, and performance monitoring to drive operational excellence. Key responsibilities include standardizing audit processes, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team. Your expertise in U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), audit standards, and industry-specific knowledge will be critical in resolving complex accounting issues and providing technical guidance. To excel in this role, you should possess a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification, along with 5+ years of relevant audit experience for qualified candidates or 7+ years for non-qualified candidates. Proficiency in audit tools, effective communication, and strong interpersonal skills are essential for success in this position.
