Non- destructive testing Level 2 Engineer

Role Overview: As a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Level 2 Engineer (NAS 410), you will be responsible for conducting, supervising, and managing NDT inspections in compliance with industry standards, primarily NAS 410. Your role will involve leading and mentoring a team of NDT technicians to ensure that all inspections meet the requisite quality standards. Additionally, you will be tasked with evaluating inspection results, preparing detailed reports, and maintaining NDT equipment. Your communication skills will be crucial as you liaise with clients to understand their requirements and ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as Nadcap and AS91000. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct and oversee non-destructive testing inspections using various methods including Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT). - Interpret and evaluate NDT results to determine the presence of defects in materials and components. - Prepare and maintain comprehensive inspection reports, technique sheets, and documentation. - Train, mentor, and supervise NDT technicians. - Ensure adherence to NAS 410 standards and other relevant regulatory requirements. - Collaborate with engineering teams to provide technical support and recommendations based on inspection findings. - Maintain NDT equipment and ensure proper calibration and maintenance. - Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in non-destructive testing methods. Qualifications Required: - In-depth knowledge of non-destructive testing techniques and principles. Aerospace background is a must. - Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and inspection standards. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and evaluate testing results. - Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members. - Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
