Role & responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance and scalable server-side applications using Node.js. Build and maintain RESTful APIs and GraphQL services. Write reusable, testable, and efficient code following best practices. Collaborate with frontend teams to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. Optimize application performance, ensuring fast response times and scalability. Implement and maintain security measures to protect applications from vulnerabilities. Work with databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL to design data models and optimize queries. Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality code standards. Collaborate with DevOps to manage deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure. Troubleshoot and debug production issues, ensuring high availability and reliability of applications. Preferred candidate profile : 5+ years of hands-on experience in Node.js development. Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript. Experience with modern frameworks and libraries such as Express.js, Koa.js, or NestJS. Expertise in building RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and working with WebSockets. Proficient in working with databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or DynamoDB. Solid understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and non-blocking I/O. Experience with testing frameworks like Mocha, Chai, Jest, or Cypress. Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes is a plus). Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Hands-on experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps principles.
