Node Backend Developer

As a Node Developer at Starberry, a decentralised global digital media agency, your role will involve building high-performance, robust, and scalable web components for applications. You will work in a fast-growing React - Node JS team, collaborating with developers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver robust software solutions in an agile environment. Your responsibilities will include: - Contributing high-quality code to the team - Providing a comprehensive level of custom NPM packages - Ensuring code standards and best practices are implemented - Contributing to project planning and technical decision making Qualifications required for this role include: - Very strong knowledge and extensive experience with Node JS - Strong knowledge and extensive experience with PHP and MySQL - Extensive experience building single-page JavaScript applications with large codebases - Experience with NoSQL (MongoDB) and GraphQL - Experience in working with AWS, especially S3, Lambda & Dynamo DB would be an advantage - Strong skills and knowledge of Git, Github, and version control workflows Desired skills that would be beneficial for this role include knowledge of CI / CD pipelines, associated tooling, and Github Actions. The team at Starberry is UK-based but international, therefore, business-level competency in both written and spoken English is essential. This position is suitable for highly independent, proactive individuals who can work both in a team and on their own.
